Sharla Cheney

Sharla Cheney is a qualified bookkeeper for Newman Associates. She is a Quickbooks ProAdviser with over 20 years of experience in various levels of management in small to midsize companies, including accounting services.

She helps many small businesses, and enjoys helping them grow into larger and more experienced firms. Sharla moved to Davis in 1962, and grew up in Davis. She returned after living for 15 years in the San Francisco Bay area to raise her family in 1995.

As her children grew up, she supported their many activities, serving on the Emerson Junior High PTA, the Board of Davis AYSO, on the BSA Troop 139 Troop Committee, DHS Band Boosters, and others.

She is a member of the Yolo County Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Commission. She is also a member of Davis Odd Fellow Lodge #169 and Rebekah Lodge #253, serving as the Financial Secretary for both organizations.
